Dear Colin I am writing in regard to the sale of our property by Ray Lei which settled yesterday. As experienced investors we have completed several property transactions and are aware of what is normal practice in the real estate market. In our opinion Ray has performed at an exceptional standard, well surpassing our expectations and was capably assisted by Joel. When listing our property for sale we contacted several real estate agencies ultimately selecting yours based on the energy and enthusiasm shown by Ray. The attributes he brought to the sale were streets ahead of other agents. Ray had letterboxed and doorknocked the area before he was even aware of the potential for a sale and left a card for us on spec when he observed that we were cleaning up the property. It was this approach that impressed us enough to seek his initial quote on the sale. By contrast most other agencies did not make any real effort to win the listing, one in particular who could not even be bothered driving past the property before trying to bluff his way to a listing by us. Additionally Ray and Joel pushed for marketing the property well above what we considered (and what other agents advised) would be achieved. Once we listed the property Ray went out of his way in assisting us and in his marketing program. His efforts were rewarded by an excellent turnout at the first open home inspection that resulted in several good offers on the property. He then skilfully negotiated these offers into an astounding sale price 20% above the level indicated by previous comparable sales. In short he sold the property at the very first opportunity at a price significantly above what we had anticipated. Along the way he has proven most helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
